A fine violin by William Whedbee, Chicago 1986.

We are proud to offer this fine violin by a fine maker

An incredible instrument by one of todays most celebrated makers, this Strad model was made when Whedbee spent time in the workshop of Wm Harris Lee.  The back is one piece of highly flamed maple with the even, tight flame descending slightly from left to right.  The ribs and scroll are of the same evenly, highly figured wood.  The top is two pieces of Spruce with even, tight grain lines, widening to medium, medium-wide toward the bouts.  The varnish is a golden color with subtle hues of red and brown, with much transparency and depth.

This is a professional instrument in every way and has had one owner, and is ready for its next!  Exceptional in tone and is in excellent condition.  Played and owned by one of KC's prominent Artist's, this violin has performed in virtually every musical setting.
