A fine modern Italian violin violin that has never been sold by Mario Gadda, Mantova 1999 

Accompanied with the makers certificate.

A large and decorative label reads Mario Gadda anno 1989 Fece in Mantova and signed to label Mario Gadda as well as Moddelo Personeale and branded with his initials MG to upper block, neck button, inside top, and inside back above label. Also branded M. Gadda Mantova below the button on the lower rib and below the label.

The workmanship is of the highest caliber and the varnish is superb. This is a professional and collectible violin with a huge voice. The back is two pieces of maple with the flame extending slightly downward from the center joint. The ribs and scroll are of similar maple. The top is two pieces of spruce with medium grain. The varnish is a rich, deep red color over a golden ground.
